Brother Garrik and the Golden Lions came across Adara en-route to the Carenor Lakes Region , where they found her destitute after her pack had been destroyed by dusklings. Just as the priests of Soladan did for Garrik years ago, Garrik immediately offered her a place in the company where she could find purpose and learn skills she could use to support her self when she chose to eventually head her own way.
Although not yet skilled with the sword — something Thalion seeks to remedy — Adara did prove to have some skill with the lute. It might not be as useful in a fight, but it was no small boon for morale.
