Brother Garrik gives the Lions a break in town to recuperate before their next excursion. Most are given leave but Safira is sent to the local healer to see to her shoulder. Thalion volunteers to see if there is any gear of use in the market while the others enjoy their time off.
Waltom in particular is overwhelmed his first time in a city this large, and falls for a local street con, losing some of the warband’s funds in the process. Garrik chastises the lad, though not too harshly. It’s a lesson the bright-eyed lad needed to have. Hopefully he’ll be more discerning in the future.
A few days later Safira reports the feeling returning to her shoulder and Garrik informs the Lions they would be heading out the next day, investigating the suspicious camp the locals were talking about the night the Lions arrived in Carenhold
